Morrison Energy Services recruiting for aTrainee Estimatorto work on ourDistribution and Connections contracts (Including UKPN) in Colchester.
As theTrainee Estimatoryou will be part of ourEstimating Teamwho are responsibleforproducing Estimates across the business sector.
As the Trainee Estimator your responsibilities will include:
- Work within the Estimating Team to produce accurate estimates for all projects.
- Undertake site visits to ascertain individual site constraints and environments.
- Define individual project deliverables / tasks and corresponding material / resource requirements.
- Produce quotations and bid submissions in line with client and MES requirements.
- Obtain prices and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Attend site visits and tender review meetings as required.
- Facilitate the smooth handover of projects to the delivery team.
- Ensure record-keeping and version control systems are maintained in line with company procedures.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Degree level (or equivalent) education.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
- Good interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator.
- Self-motivated and the ability to self-manage working time.
- Full driving licence.
Additional Information
- Based primarily in Colchester, but with requirement to attend sites / clients as and when required.
