We are working in partnership with a fantastic Charitable organisation who provide an essential and highly sought after service to the local community on their key appointment of a Head of People & Culture. Working as part of the senior management team and reporting to the CEO, this is a highly influential position. Coaching, mentoring and developing a small People & Culture team with the emphasis on providing an efficient and proactive service, the role will also see you taking a leading role on a key area of the organisation’s 3 year strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and implement the people strategy
  • Support and develop management capability
  • Promote and implement EDI initiatives to cultivate an inclusive and equitable workplace culture
  • Oversee clear and engaging internal communications
  • Coach, mentor and develop direct reports
  • Ensure an efficient and robust People & Culture service is provided to the organisation

About you:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified but significant generalist experience is also considered
  • Experience of leading and developing a team as well as influencing and guiding senior leadership
  • Experience of implementing EDI and fostering an inclusive culture
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload and prioritise effectively
  • Resilient, tenacious with a good sense of humour
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organisation

This role is offered on a full time or part time (30hrs) basis and can be across 4 or 5 days a week. The main office is based in Colchester but there may be a requirement to travel to other offices in the region. There is also the option to work flexibly from home occasionally, you are trusted to work in the most effective place for you.

The panel interview date is booked for 7th March so you would need to be available on this day.
