HR Officer Maternity Cover

Our client based in Colchester LEXCEL accredited , Legal 500 recommended practice with 17 Legal 500 recommended Lawyers. Have an opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join their expanding HR Team to cover a 9 month maternity leave.

Duties will include

  • To provide professional HR advice and Guidance to managers and employers and employees on various HR matters, Including

Recruitment, performance management , employee relations ,policies and procedures

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including preparing job postings, scheduling and conducting interviews, and manging the hire process
  • Manage the employee onboarding process, including preparing documentation, arranging induction schedules and conducting reference and DBS Checks
  • Coordinating performance management process, including tracking performance evaluations and facilitating professional development activities
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Support the HR and Office Manager with office facilities management when required in collaboration with the Facilities coordinator
  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Office Manager, as needed and collaborate with partners, department heads, and employees to address HR and facility needs

The candidate

  • You will be a minimum CIPD Level 3 Qualified
  • Proven experience as a HR Officer, administrator or other HR position
  • Strong knowledge of Employment legislation, HR policies, and procedures
  • Experience dealing with change management
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects and daily activities
  • Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude
  • Experience of working within a law firm desirable but not essential
