This job holder is responsible for delivering day to day operational HR activity across a defined client group and providing HR advice to operational leaders on all people policies, procedures and frameworks in accordance with industry best practice, legal and regulatory requirements, and organisational objectives.

Description
- Providing operational HR support, advice and coaching to line managers, where business risk requires such.
- Providing professional HR advice and coaching to line managers on all areas of the employee lifecycle (including recruitment; on-boarding; performance management and capability; employment legislation; contracts of employment; retention; redeployment and redundancy; employee relations and policy) resulting in reductions in staff turnover and increases in staff engagement.
- Escalating high risk / complex people matters to the Group HR Manager as appropriate.
- Ensuring the effective application and implementation of all people management activity throughout the business, developing and utilising management information and / or appropriate reporting mechanisms which provide SLT and the Executive Board with assurance and visibility of risk management.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining employee and line manager systems and tools as required.
- Maintaining own knowledge of the company policy and procedure; current and forthcoming employment law and HR best practice, using this knowledge to propose the introduction of new (or changes to existing) products, tools, solutions and policies into the service offer.
- Effectively consulting and implementing any new/amended policies and procedures into defined business areas
Profile
A successful applicant will have
- Proven experience in an HR role advising on employee relation cases
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment law
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
