Your responsibilities as Senior Development Underwriter:

  • Portfolio Management: Grow and manage a profitable book of business through sound underwriting decisions and proactive broker engagement.
  • Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong broker relationships, respond to queries, and identify new opportunities.
  • Underwriting & Compliance: Underwrite new and existing business in line with guidelines, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Review and refine underwriting guides and lead workshops to support broker development.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify ways to improve processes and ensure effective service delivery.

  • Significant underwriting experience, ideally within commercial lines.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to assess complex risks.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop broker relationships.
  • Clear communication and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A focus on delivering results while ensuring compliance.
