Our client is a family run vehicle finance specialist looking to employ a New Business Underwriter/Dealmaker to join their team.

New Business Underwriter/Dealmaker

Salary £24-£28k DOE + Performance Bonus | 9 am to 5.30 pm 5 days per week - The role includes working every third Saturday between 10 and 4 with a lieu day the following week | Colchester | Pension Scheme | Vehicle Finance, Growing Business | On-Site Parking / Office Dog / Family Friendly Events

A successful, dynamic and growing consumer finance business is seeking to recruit a new fulltime member of staff to review and process new applications for finance.

Duties (to include but are not limited too):

  • Making quick, accurate decisions on lending applications
  • Interacting with customers and third parties by telephone
  • Using custom build IT systems to create, issue and verify finance paperwork.
  • Working closely and proactively with colleagues to ensure the right outcome is achieved
  • Processing suitable finance applications, ensuring all information is accurately inputted and kept up to date
  • Responding to emails and communications in a professional manner

Person Specification:

  • Excellent analytical ability, including decision making under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills by telephone and email
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Very good team work
  • Very good ability to work with IT systems (including adapting to bespoke systems)
