We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading insurance company that is seeking a talented Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter.This role can be fully-home-based, although there will be occasional face to face team meetings required in a regional office. This company is well-renowned for providing innovative insurance solutions, and uses its ingenuity to insure risks that others can’t.This position has arisen as a result of the company’s impressive expansion; it is enjoying 20% year on year growth, and is on track to double in size over the next 5 years.Working within the specialist Financial Lines Division, you’ll be underwriting incoming new business enquiries from a wide variety of brokers throughout the UK, using your sound technical and negotiation skills to secure profitable business. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to, underwriting large and complex renewal cases, collaborating with the Claims team, as well as developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business. Being a growing business that very much listens to, and implements employees’ great ideas and suggestions, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in some really interesting ad hoc projects and make a real difference.You must have strong experience within the Financial Lines arena, and candidates from a variety of specialisms (such as Professional Indemnity, D&O / Management Liabilities or Tech (PI), will be considered. As you’ll be regularly dealing with brokers, you’ll have excellent communication skills, together with a good track record of maintaining and developing relationships."I really want to stress that this is by no means a 'dead-end’ senior underwriting role", says the Director.
