School Catering Assistant ( 2 hours a day, 5 days a week)
Job Title: Catering AssistantLocation: Colchester
Hours :The hours would be 11.15am to 1.45pm (2.5 hrs per day - 12.5 hrs per week TTO - 39 weeks per year)

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food and beverages to meet school standards.
- Serve food to students and staff from counters, kiosks, or trolleys.
- Maintain cleanliness by undertaking all cleaning tasks, including equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
- Ensure counters and tables are clean and adequately stocked during service times.
- Comply with health and safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations.
- Support special school functions when required, including occasional events outside normal hours.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and promote a safe environment for all students.
- Experience in food preparation and customer service is desirable.
- Ability to use kitchen and cleaning equipment efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a kitchen setting.
