Production Engineer

Prime Appointments have an amazing opportunity for a Production Engineer to join a large manufacturer based on the outskirts of Colchester.

This company is on the hunt for a Production Engineer who has the ability to work independently but also can get stuck in as part of a team.

As a Production Engineer you will be required to:

• Supporting laser and press operations through process development and tooling support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and process optimisation.
• Providing welding support, including process development, tooling, documentation, tool design, and implementation.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, production, and cost standards.
• Evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain product quality.
• Support and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and improve overall operational performance.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques and CAD Systems
• Strong Communication Skills
