Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for design and production? Join our client's team as a Production Engineer and play a crucial role in their innovative projects!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Build Procedures: Develop comprehensive build procedure documents for production personnel, incorporating photos and assembly drawings.
  • Update Documentation: Keep machine manuals and associated documentation up-to-date.
  • Collaborate on New Projects: Work with fellow production engineers to produce technical folders for new machine ranges, ensuring compliance with CE and UKCA standards.
  • Modify Drawings: Make changes to existing part and assembly drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor (training provided if needed).
  • Process Engineering Changes: Handle Engineering Change Notes to update parts, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Pneumatic and Electrical Diagrams: Update existing and create new pneumatic diagrams and electrical loom drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor.
  • Label Creation: Design new label drawings using 3D Inventor and oversee printed label records.
  • Tool Design: Design and draw setting tools, bars, jigs, and fixtures to aid production personnel in machine assembly.
  • Support Production: Assist production personnel with day-to-day machine build issues, incorrect BOMs, and implement machine build improvements.
  • Additional Tasks: Support any other design or drawing-related tasks as required by the Design Office Manager.

Experience required:

  • Educated to HND level or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Practical experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor (training available).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
