If so then we have an excellent job opportunity for you!!Our Automotive Client is a Prestige Brand Independent Specialist based north of Colchester; they are actively seeking a Vehicle Technician to predominantly replace timing chains in their busy workshop.They have a small but friendly team 3 Vehicle Technician’s all of which have excellent timing chain skills and work well together. The owner of this business started his motor trade career as a Vehicle Technician himself and branched out on his own to create a now thriving business, he highly values and appreciates the role of a Vehicle Technician and is happy to pay a fantastic above average salary for the best of the best!!Details & Benefits of this Timing Chain Vehicle Technician role include:

Highly Competitive Basic Salary up to £50,000 p.a.
Regular reviews and salary increase for those that work smart and are very efficient.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm + Alternate Saturdays 8.00am to 12.00pm.
Holiday Allowance of 20 days + Bank Holidays.
The business closes in between Christmas and New Year (no holiday allowance is taken for this).

Contract: Full Time, Permanent.

Responsibilities of this Timing Chain Vehicle Technician role include:

Remove the Components Blocking Access to the Timing Chain.
Align the Engine to Top Dead Center (TDC).
Remove the Old Timing Chain using tensioners and guides.
Install the New Timing Chain aligning the timing marks on the new chain and sprockets.
Reassemble the Components and reinstall the crankshaft sprocket.
Check Timing Marks correctly aligned, then reassemble and test the engine.
When not replacing timing chains general servicing and maintenance to be competed.
