Reed Business Support in Colchester are supporting a local client in Colchester in their search for a Membership Engagement Coordinator. This role is integral to enhancing the membership community and achieving strategic goals. The successful candidate will champion member interests, ensuring that all opportunities to enhance activities, benefits, and services are maximised.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work across the organisation with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the annual membership engagement plan.
  • Deliver and monitor an annual communications plan targeted at members, collating material and building email campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure all aspects of the membership engagement plan are effectively implemented across all marketing and social media channels.
  • Lead new projects to raise the profile of grant-giving activities, ensuring all opportunities are communicated and publicised widely.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure full support throughout the year.
  • Coordinate and monitor the delivery of all aspects of governance and administration for the portfolio.
  • Organise and manage all related internal and external meetings, taking minutes where required.
  • Attend events and meetings that may involve foreign travel and overnight stays.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good general education, typically to Higher/A-Level equivalent.
  • Experience in general administration within a busy office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and online meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom).
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work both under direction and autonomously on self-led projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and arrangements.
  • Prepared to act as a key holder.
