Our client has successfully implemented Traffic Management Acts and New Roads and Street works Act processes and systems since 1993. They also supply training to key groups within the industry, including - Utilities and Statutory Undertakers and Highways Authorities. Our client is here to assist those organisations whose responsibility it is to ensure those street works are carried out in the most efficient manner, minimising avoidable costs. They are looking for an Office administrator to join the team due to company growth.

Office Administrator

£13 per hour + Quarterly Bonus | 16.5 hours a week spread over 3 days a week between core times 9am-4pm to be agreed | Colchester | Generous/Flexible Holiday Allowance | Invoicing and Billing | Customer Service | Quick Learner | Able to Multitask | Eager to learn | Training Provided | Office Dog!

Our client pride themselves on providing their customers with a complete service to ensure everything is working efficiently and effectively, while complying with legal requirements throughout.

Duties (to include but are not limited to):

  • Working as part of an already established team
  • Manage client incoming email system
  • Distribute emails to relevant contractors, clients and contacts
  • Client Permits fees, Sample Inspection fees, Defect Fees
  • Client Permit fees reconciliation
  • Receive and record fee statements
  • Chase missing statements and invoices from Local Authorities
  • Managing fee discounts
  • Sending remittances and record payments
  • Prepare reports for clients
  • Maintain contact and contacts lists for Local Authorities in line with this role
  • Receive telephone calls to the company
  • Once trained, the successful candidate will provide ad hoc support to the specialist team with regards to proactive management of the clients’ streetworks notification systems

Person Specification:

  • Good IT skills - experience with Microsoft Apps
  • Experience in Invoicing and billing
  • Experience with Excel and reporting
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with complaints management
  • Good communication skills
  • Can work to deadlines
  • Good organisation
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full Driving licence required due to location
