Our Client are a business based near Kelvedon, Essex, who have clients all over the UK. They are a quality oriented, close-knit team actively looking for a like-minded individual to join their growing team as an Office Manager.

Office Manager

£30-35k | Kelvedon (nr Colchester) | Mon-Fri 8:45-5:15 (office based, occasional hybrid working) | Growing, innovative, quality-focussed team | Accounts & finance duties, diary management for engineers, overall office management | | Well organised, accurate, solution-focussed, team player

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join the company as an Office Manager. This role is to be responsible for a wide range of accounts and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Bookkeeping
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing and submitting payroll
  • Chasing outstanding debtors / credit control
  • Updating financial reports
  • Management of part-time accounts team member
  • Ordering supplies, and paying suppliers efficiently
  • Negotiating with suppliers and other service providers to obtain most suitable, cost-effective services / products are sourced
  • Answering calls from customers and suppliers
  • Diary management for Engineers, ensuring travel is suitably arranged and accommodation is booked
  • Manage the company fleet, keeping all vehicles safely maintained, with the correct insurances in place
  • Providing regular administrative support to senior management
  • General office administration to ensure the smooth running of the business

Person Specification:

  • 3 years’ experience within accounts / finance essential
  • 2 years’ experience in an office management (or similar) position preferred
  • Must possess a Full UK Drivers Licence and car due to office location and potential business travel
  • A knowledge thirst for understanding of technology is advantageous
  • Must be an excellent communicator both verbally and written
  • Must be IT Literate (with experience using CRM systems)
  • Experience taking bookings and managing a diary for engineers / similar preferred
