We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our Corporate Centre finance team. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Take sole responsibility for ensuring the monthly in-house payroll for 1800 employees is processed accurately and on time, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and SaaS service providers to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Review and verify payroll data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain payroll records to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and payroll regulations.
  • Address and resolve payroll and tax-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, submit reports, and payment transfers for approval.
  • Partner with the Finance Team to ensure payroll journal entries posted to the general ledger are reconciled and accurate.
  • Develop and run ad-hoc, audit, and controls pre-post-payroll reports.
  • Support the development of a continuous improvement culture utilising external insights and best practice.
  • Actively support both Finance and Group-wide projects relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIPP qualification with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience, preferably within Financial Services, Insurance, or a multinational business.
  • End-to-end in-house payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, payroll tax laws, and payroll software systems like Workday and Cintra.
  • Confident in interrogating and analysing high volumes of data with an attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong control mindset and experience.
