The HSE / Central Admin Coordinator Role:

As HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and Central Admin Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant warehouse environment.

Reporting directly to the 3PL & Support Manager, you'll lead the charge in upholding and advancing health and safety standards. Your dedication will be instrumental in fostering a culture where the safety and well-being of our teammates and visitors are always our top priorities.

What your day-to-day might look like:

+ Implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
+ Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
+ Providing up-to-date health and safety training to all required teammates in UK, Colchester, and London, sites on best practices and emergency procedures
+ Investigating accidents, compiling reports, and recommending preventive measures
+ Monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
+ Collaborating with management to develop and implement safety initiatives
+ Maintaining health and safety records and documentation as required by law
+ Acting as a point of contact for health and safety inquiries and concerns from teammates
+ Providing comprehensive administrative support to senior management and department heads
+ Monitoring and maintaining office inventory and budgets
+ Assisting with the planning and execution of various projects
+ Performing data entry, file management, and other clerical tasks as needed
+ Assisting with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents

About you:

+ Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics setting, with strong knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices
+ Certification in occupational health and safety or a related field, with the ability to effectively interpret and apply legislation
+ Skilled in conducting risk assessments, implementing safety measures, and managing office supplies and inventory
+ Proficient in Google Suite, with excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
+ A proactive team player, capable of working independently and prioritising tasks
+ A first aid certification or knowledge of environmental health and safety practices is a bonus but not essential
