Acquisitions Director for independently owned estate agency group who are looking to grow significantly over the next few years and add this new position to their senior team.
A suitable person for this role will have worked in estate agency acquisitions previously and been able to identify suitable businesses and build relationships with decision makers in target companies to open doors and conversations.
This person will have been involved in lettings and estate agency acquisitions in the past and understands the process of due diligence and what is involved in getting a company merger not only across the line, but also change management and integration's.
The successful candidate must have prior experience of executing deals in the real estate Duties to include:
- Identifying target businesses
- Building relationships across the UK property market and be well connected at a senior level
- Managing the acquisition of businesses
- Proactively engage with the business to understand gaps and opportunities.
- Undertake detailed analysis and commercial due diligence into potential targets.
- With the assistance of the finance function, prepare all M&A reports, decks, IC papers, etc.
- Lead on all pricing and valuation activities.
- Mange all DD work-streams.
- Act as point of contact for all advisers, brokers, etc.
- Structure deals, work with legal on SPAs, and lead on all M&A related negotiations.
- Ensure the timely completion of M&A opportunities.
- Work with the internal team to plan integration's.
- Ensure regular reporting and KPIS are produced on M&A activity, integration milestones, etc.
- Work with the finance function to ensure post-completion activities are carried out.
Candidate profile:
- Prior deals experience from real estate or property services.
- An experienced M&A professional.
- Willing and able to largely work as the sole contributor to M&A.
- Experienced at operating and influencing at an executive level.
- The ability to execute on a wide range of deals, from larger more strategic, to smaller tuck-ins.
- Highly energetic, driven, and a willingness to travel to meet targets (UK wide).
