Project Manager opportunity in Colchester

GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor, based in Essex, who are actively in the market for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. As a main contractor they carry out a range of new build and refurbishment construction methods to the High end Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Education sectors.

The initial project would be the construction of 11 new build industrial units + 1 Retail unit in Buckinghamshire.

The role will be office based in Essex with the associated Site Visits so this role will suit someone that is not adverse to travel.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Lead the Entire project life cycle from Preconstruction through to the aftercare
  • Leading on the preconstruction
  • Programme planning and management
  • Oversee and manage the subcontractors
  • Oversee the Stakeholder management
  • Working with the design team and Commercial team alongside the operations for the successful delivery of the projects.
  • Liaise with the client and lead on the client relationship to maintain a strong and healthy workflow

Requirements for the Project Manager:

  • Strong Construction background working in a Project Management position for an established main contractor
  • Previous experience working on industrial projects with the associated Civils works
  • Strong client facing experience
  • Good leadership and Communication skills
  • Experience managing projects from Preconstruction to completion
  • Must be able to build a programme
  • Experienced in the use of MS Projects is advantageous
