As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be assisting the surveyor and directors with cost management for projects from procurement to the completion of sub-contract final accounts, working on residential development schemes.
The successful candidate will be required to work in their head office Monday Friday with site visits being carried out when required, our client operate throughout East Anglia.
It is crucial the successful candidate has a driving license and own vehicle.

About the role:
- Working as a junior / assistant QS for a Residential Main Contractor
- Assist with maintaining cost control throughout developments
- Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of site development
- Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows
- Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors
- Process Subcontract orders, payments and variations
- Understand and assist with valuation and agreement of variations and instruction.
- Assist with controlling all commercial aspects and responsibilities
- General departmental administration
- Provide other appropriate ad hoc duties, and administrative support as and when required
- Maintain relevant filing systems and databases
- Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
- Procure and process orders for materials
- Material Take-offs
- General administration tasks related to the commercial function of the business
