The Quantity Surveyor Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take on a diverse workload, supporting senior team members while progressing towards a leadership role. Key responsibilities include:
- Cost planning and budgeting - ensuring financial efficiency from project inception to completion.
- Procurement and tendering - managing supplier and contractor negotiations.
- Contract administration - including JCT and NEC contracts.
- Financial reporting and risk management - providing expert cost control advice.
- Final accounts and project close-out - ensuring successful financial completion.
You will work closely with clients and colleagues, developing your technical and commercial skills while receiving mentorship and structured APC support to achieve MRICS status.
About YouThe ideal Quantity Surveyor will have:
- A RICS-accredited construction-related degree.
- At least 2+ years' experience with a UK PQS/Consultancy.
- Pre- and post-contract experience.
- A strong desire to achieve MRICS.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning and growth.
