Description
- Develop cost plans and estimates through the design phase.
- Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, quality and availability.
- Lead the procurement process, ensuring timely placement of contracts.
- Manage change control process, update and maintain cost control system.
- Prepare and present cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure costs are managed effectively.
- Assess and manage risk and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Profile
A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience working for a housebuilder
- Proven experience in a similar role within the property sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction, procurement and contract law.
- Excellent numerical skills and ability to prepare financial reports.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
