NXTGEN is excited to be partners with the a UK leader in its industry as they look to recruit and accounts assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company as an Accounts Assistant, reporting directly to the Finance Director. As an Accounts Assistant, you will take on a varied role, supporting the finance team with key responsibilities, including assisting with month-end reporting, you'll work with a friendly and supportive team, contributing to meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit control, ensuring effective debt management.
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, including posting invoices and matching receipts.
  • Prepare supplier payments in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Finance Director with accounts administration tasks.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation's.
  • Respond to general queries, both internally and externally.
  • Support month-end reporting processes.


Additional Duties:

  • Filing and general administrative tasks.
  • Managing inbound and outbound telephone calls.
  • Responding to emails and directing them to the relevant departments.
  • Liaising with other departments within the comp

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Confident with a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks, with a professional telephone manner.
  • A team player but also able to work independently.
  • Able to drive due to the rural location of the office.
