Pure are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a finance team in Colchester. This role focuses on transactional finance duties and is an excellent opportunity for someone who is actively working towards their AAT qualification and looking to gain further experience in the finance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately
Assisting with the reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts
Handling accounts payable and receivable
Supporting month-end processes and preparing basic financial reports
Maintaining and updating financial records in the accounting system
Managing queries from suppliers and customers promptly
Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in an accounts assistant or transactional finance role
Actively working towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
