The Finance Assistant will provide essential support to the finance team, managing day-to-day financial transactions and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organised individual who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced financial environment.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain financial records and update ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Assist with bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Prepare and distribute invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations
  • Conduct data entry tasks for finance systems and spreadsheets
  • Support the finance team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial inquiries and transactions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations

Required Skills & Desired Experience:

  • Proven experience in finance, accounts or bookkeeping role
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft office
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent Communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work as a team as well as individually
