A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of PE to join our vibrant secondary school in Colchester. As a Teacher of PE, you will help us inspire students to enjoy sport and exercise, understanding that while not every student will become a county or international athlete, every individual can be motivated to achieve their personal best. Your role will be to encourage participation, enjoyment, and the idea that physical activity is a life-long commitment to health and well-being.

• Teach Physical Education across all key stages, including practical and theoretical components
• Promote the core values of the PE department: participation, enjoyment, and the development of physical and social responsibility
• Help students find their best role in sports, whether as performers, officials, organisers, or leaders
• Support active participation in sports for students of all abilities, including those in the sixth form through our Colchester United football programme and cheerleading
• Encourage and foster healthy, active lifestyles among students, ensuring they leave school with positive, life-long habits

• Deliver a high-quality physical education curriculum that inspires all students to succeed and excel in a variety of physically-demanding activities
• Provide opportunities for students to develop their physical and mental confidence, supporting their overall health and fitness
• Create opportunities for students to compete in sports and other activities, helping to build character and promote positive life-long habits
