Learning Support Assistant

Remedy are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a school based in Basildon. Their aim is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for our students, where they can develop their skills, talents, and confidence to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a team in a school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with special educational needs and disabilities.

As a learning support assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and supporting students with their learning.
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with SEN.
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Encouraging students to develop their social and communication skills.
  • Supporting students with their personal care needs, where necessary.

The successful Learning Support assistant will have:

  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEN.
  • Knowledge of a range of SEN conditions and how they can impact on learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
