SENDirect is proud to be representing a fantastic SEN school located in a beautiful semi-rural area of Essex. This all-boys school caters to students aged10-16 yearswith a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and confidentLearning Support Assistant (LSA)to join their passionate team.

Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)Location: Essex (Semi-Rural)Start Date: ImmediateContract: Permanent for the right candidate

About the Role:

As an LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally. While previous experience working with SEMH is desirable, it is not essential. What we are looking for is someone who is confident, resilient, and truly passionate about supporting young people with SEMH challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students aged10-16 yearswith SEMH needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualized learning programs.
  • Encourage engagement in both classroom activities and outdoor learning, as the school emphasizes outdoor activities.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure each student receives tailored support.
