Support Workers and Senior Support Workers Required for Children’s Home in Colchester Essex CO3

  • Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with emotional and behavioral disabilities ?
  • We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers and Seniors to join our dedicated team on the edge of Colchester ( on a bus route) the home supports 5 to 13 year olds with EBD and challenging behaviours( Ofsted Regulated)
  • Our home is well led where there will be huge support , you will be encouraged to develop and progress.

Support Worker Requirements

Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;

  • Able to work Full time
  • A full UK driving license ( preferred )
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
  • Experience working and supporting 5-18 year old with EBD & challenging behaviour
  • You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
  • Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children's)

Salary and shifts and more for our Support Workers / Seniors

  • £12 per hour to £15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
  • plus £50 sleeps shift pattern normally 2 on 4 off but subject to change
  • 42 hour weeks
  • Full induction and introductory programme
  • Fully funded training and qualifications
  • Enhanced pay scales that recognise both qualifications and experience
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check paid for by us
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Hourly rate increase for bank holiday working
  • £50 per sleep in payments
