Neighbourhood Team
It is Essex's aim to align more closely with their Health partners, and partners within the voluntary sector, Adult Social Care is moving towards supporting a neighbourhood model. Working in this way, teams are aligned to specific post code areas managing a triage process, completing assessments, Reviews and Safeguarding enquiries under the care act 2014 supporting an all-age approach.
ASC Neighbourhood teams undertake incoming social work for all age specialisms. All their professionals use a strength-based approach when working with an adult to maintain their independence in a person-centred way to achieve their goals and develop resilience and networks to maintain their wellbeing.
Essex work with adults to support independence and maximise potential, and work with people with complex needs and diverse situations. Our team values focussed on early intervention and prevention, and a focus on recovery to support adults to achieve individual outcomes. This includes working closely with partners and building networks and community resilience. The team consists of the Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, Senior Social Workers, Social Worker and Community Support Workers
You will join a knowledgeable and supportive team, who are happy to share their knowledge and in addition, you will have opportunity to undertake training to develop skills and understanding of our case recoding systems and access to Practice Guidance documents required for this role. Regular Team Meetings, Practice Meetings and supervision will also be available to you. The working pattern for this team is Monday to Friday covering core hours of 9am to 5:30pm.
About You
To apply you should be a qualified social worker with a current Social Work England registration. You'll bring at least 3 years' social work experience in adult social care, evidence of continuing professional development, and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wider operational area including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
