Our client is looking for a software developer with a strong background and experience in .NET, C# and SQL. The successful candidate will be part of Agile development team working in a fast paced and collaborative environment.

The role will be focussed on support/enhancement of existing business solutions as well as development of new projects. With solid proven development capabilities, the applicant will have delivered complex projects, alone and as part of a larger team, solving problems and consistently delivering on time and to quality.

Area: Colchester

Company: Large Multi Branch Independent Estate Agency Business

Hours: Mon – Fri 9am - 6pm 

Tasks

  • Development of new services and applications according to business requirements
  • Support of existing business solutions
  • Support of integration processes (both internal and external systems)
  • Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
  • Analysis and authoring of ad-hoc SQL queries to support the business reporting department
  • Maintenance of business critical data processing
  • Design, implementation and presentation of tactical and strategic improvements
  • Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of customer journeys to support business objective to increase market share
  • Assess risk and impact on the existing digital portfolio that may arise due to any requirement or functional change
Requirements
  • At least 2 years commercial experience using, Visual Studio 2010 or later, SQL Server database 2012 or later, .Net Core 3.1 or later, C#, React, Javascript and JSON/XML technologies.
  • A firm grasp of reporting methodologies and in-depth experience with the Microsoft SSIS and SSRS.
  • Proven experience in working with large data sets, both from the perspective of data import/translation and segmenting these as required to provide data insight.
  • Proven experience of delivering web based solutions.
  • Experience of working with commission schemes, reporting for statements and adhoc analysis
  • Hands on experience creating, and maintaining, business critical solutions
  • Skills in Design patterns, Message Queuing, technical documentation
  • Complete development lifecycle experience including design, development and testing
  • I.T. related degree
  • Ability to produce technical designs and specifications from functional requirements
  • Complete development lifecycle experience including design, development and testing;
  • Integrate with other systems using synchronous and asynchronous processes
  • Team player with exposure to Agile methods (design, estimation, delivery)
