We are recruiting for a leading food product manufacturer and distributor in the Colchester area on a ongoing temporary basis, with an immediate start. This role would suit someone who has worked in a Yard environment before and has a driving licence enabling them to drive up to a 7.5T lorry.
Supporting the wider business in the distribution of product across the facility, this role is vital to the smooth running of internal procedures.
Duties Of The Yard Operative / Driver Will Include:
- Driving a Lorry/Van around the yard when needed
- Loading and unloading goods from cold store
- Working in a chilled environment and outside as required
- Checking for any broken or damaged products
- Safe manual handling
- Keeping a clean working environment
- Carry out repetitive heavy lifting as required
The Ideal Yard Operative / Driver Candidate:
- Must have a C1 or Grandfather rights for this role
- Previous Warehouse/Yard Experience in a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment is preferred
- Able to carry out physical duties for extending periods
- Looking for a Temporary Ongoing position
Hours & Pay:
- Monday - Friday
- 10:00 - 18:30
- 11.56ph
- Overtime is available
