Randstad Education is seeking dedicated and reliable teaching assistants to join our team in and around the area of Colchester. We have full-time positions starting in September and October, and we offer exciting opportunities to work closely with special educational needs children.

Many of our client schools excel in supporting students with Autism and other barriers to learning, their passionate teams work tirelessly to help each child achieve their full potential. They also make sure that staff can think, act and are trained appropriately to ensure the safety and well being of all children at all times.

Requirements:

  • An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
  • Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential.
  • Strong understanding of various special educational needs, along with excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour.

  • Provide support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational plans.
  • Lead small group sessions covering a range of subject areas.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Ensure outstanding attendance and time-keeping records.
