A Special Educational Needs School in Colchester is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN LSA on a long-term basis starting after the May half-term, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent role in August 2025. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom activities
  • Supporting students with communication, individual support plans (ISPs), and behaviour management
  • Supervising and engaging with students during lunch and break times
  • Accompanying students on educational visits and school trips

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with students with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning is desirable but not essential
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
