We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher with a focus on Autism to join a wonderful school in Colchester, Essex. This is a full-time, permanent role that will start as soon as possible, offering the chance to work in a supportive environment where your skills in SEN education and training can truly shine.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher focusing on Autism, you will be responsible for creating a tailored, inclusive learning environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering SEN education that is adapted to meet the specific needs of students with Autism.
  • Working alongside a team of experienced professionals to provide SEN education and training for both students and staff.
  • Supporting students in both academic and social development, ensuring they have every opportunity to thrive.
  • Providing education and training that empowers students to achieve their individual goals and grow in confidence.
  • Collaborating with parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Ideal SEN Teacher:

We welcome applications from qualified teachers as well as those with experience as unqualified teachers who have a passion for working with students with Autism. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, but we are open to experienced unqualified teachers with the right passion and experience in SEN.
  • A strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its impact on learning.
  • A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality SEN education and training in a classroom setting.
