About Us:

We are currently partnering with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Colchester, committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for students with additional needs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Coach to fill this important role and make a positive impact on the students lives.

Role Overview:

As a Sports Coach working within our clients PRU unit, you will be instrumental in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development among students. You will design and deliver engaging sports programs tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of the students, encouraging their participation and helping them build confidence and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored sports programs that align with the needs and abilities of the students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork.
• Assess and monitor students' progress and adapt programs as needed.
• Collaborate with the PRUs teachers and support staff to integrate sports activities into the students' overall educational experience.
• Promote health and safety standards during all sports activities.
• Engage with students to motivate and support their personal development through sports.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sports Coach, preferably within an educational or support setting.
• Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the needs of students with additional educational needs or behavioral challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to engaging students in sports and physical activities.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a PRU or similar educational setting.
• Knowledge of strategies to support students with behavioral or emotional challenges.
