Colchester Salary-Circa £40k (Overtime and shift allowance available)

Monday-Friday

The company:

You will be joining a nationally based company in the transport trade, being a part of their engineering team based at either of their 3 depots all around the Colchester and surrounding areas. Offering flexibility on hours, overtime and earning potential, this is a great role for a qualified Mechanical Vehicle Technician to join a progressive company.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis, repair, and regular servicing of company vehicles
  • Prepare vehicles for the annual tests.
  • Attend breakdowns as required.
  • Processing vehicle defect cards and all legal paperwork in line with the company and DVSA guidelines.
  • Process relevant documentation and reports following repairs etc.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Educated to a NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering proficiency.
  • Mechanical and Electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience in a similar role with large vehicles.
  • Ability to work to specifications and guides.
  • Able to work in a team or alone.
