We are looking for a wood machinist/joiner to work for a residential and commercial manufacturing company in the Colchester area. You will have a keen passion for a variety of woodworking projects and styles. This is a varied role ideal for someone looking to progress their joinery career.
You will be responsible for working with machinery, tools and equipment, working to a high standard and ensuring excellent finishes are maintained.
Salary will be dependent on experience, between 13-17ph. The company are open to candidates with a range of skill level, providing you have experience using joinery or woodworking equipment and can read from drawings. Working hours are 07:30-16:30 Monday to Friday.
Duties include:
- Using machinery such as panel saws, rip saws, spindle moulders, planers
- Using CNC machinery (training can be provided)
- Working from cutting lists
- Working in a team to create high standard joinery pieces
- Veneer work as required (training can be provided)
Skills required:
- Experience using machines such as saws, thicknesses and planers
- Carpentry, machining and joinery knowledge
- Reading from drawings and cutting lists
If you have experience within either wood machining or as a bench joiner the company would be keen to chat to you! If you have 2D/2D design experience this would be an advantage too.
