- Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Reed are working with a Manufacturing/Construction business seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to provide essential support across various operational locations in Northern Ireland. Working as part of a dedicated Health & Safety team, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager and working alongside 2 other Advisors.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct regular health and safety visits and audits at operational locations and contract sites, aligning with company targets.
- Promote a positive safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
- Implement and uphold the CRH Life Saving Rules and the Ireland Materials Health & Safety strategy.
- Provide advice and assistance on all aspects of health and safety management and legislation.
- Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and high potential learning events.
- Deliver safety campaigns and employee training as required.
- Lead health and safety meetings and consultations.
- Prepare health and safety reports and statistics for internal use and compliance.
- Assist in the approval of contractors and hauliers, and in developing health and safety plans and risk assessments.
- Support location managers during external audits and represent the company at industry events.
- NEBOSH H&S Certificate minimum; degree level education or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an operational health and safety role, ideally within the construction, building materials, or manufacturing industries.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to developing solutions.
- Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and practices.
- Flexibility and responsiveness to handle incidents and information requests.
- Willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
- Must be willing to travel to company operational locations and hold a valid driving licence.
