We are seeking an experienced Plant Service Engineer to join our team in Garvagh. This role is essential for ensuring the effective and efficient repair of plant and equipment machines, particularly their electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using diagnostic equipment and a proven track record in a similar role.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct effective and efficient repairs of plant and equipment machines’ electrical systems as instructed, within designated repair times.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and ensure additional repairs are reported during work on plant and equipment.
  • Manage the identification, ordering, and control of parts/materials/consumables for jobs in progress.
  • Ensure the return of parts as per the exchange scheme and maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
  • Complete timesheets daily using Excel and communicate effectively via email.
  • Maintain company and personal tools in a safe and efficient condition, adhering to the company’s quality policies and safety procedures.
  • Drive company vehicles responsibly and maintain their cleanliness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good formal educational qualifications.
  • NVQ or City and Guilds certificates in the relevant field.
  • Experience in using diagnostic equipment and managing parts for plant and equipment repairs.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and quality policies.
  • Clean driving licence and CSR are desirable.
  • Fully time-served field service engineer in a similar role is preferred.
