Reed is working in partnership with our thriving, multi-site commercial client, as they navigate through a continued period of growth & investment, in the appointment of a permanent Quantity Surveyor.

The role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a key role in ensuring a diverse range of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while maintaining professional communication channels with both clients and supply chain. This role is critical in ensuring the commercial success and efficient execution of key projects. Key responsibility include:

  • To provide the full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to handover and final account preparation
  • Cost Management
  • Contract Management
  • Project Coordination
  • Risk Assessment
  • Reporting
  • Monthly Cost Value reporting
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas
  • A full job spec is available upon request

About you!

  • 5+ years recent experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction and/or engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Proficient in using industry-standard software for cost estimation and project management including BIM / CAD measure, Cost-X, Knowledge of Tekla or other BIM software would be an advantage although full training will be given.
