Mechanical Fitter and Boiler Engineer
Based in Birmingham – 3 Month temporary contract
Monday to Fridays Day Shift
£28 Per Hour LTD
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter and Boiler Engineer will involve the following.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on facility systems, including boilers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct fitting and installation work on plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Support general facilities upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Inspect, test, and maintain site utilities, including water, compressed air, and heating systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to address cross-functional maintenance needs.
- Undertake welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support installations and repairs.
Equipment and Systems to be worked on:
- Boilers, water pumps, compressors, HVAC systems, and plant machinery such as conveyors, mixers, and other mechanical infrastructure.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- BOAS or recognised Boiler Qualification
- A recognized Mechanical Qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical fitting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with boiler operation and pump maintenance is highly desirable.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
