Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 Per Annum + quarterly bonus and commission scheme (OTE £26,000 - £33,000 Plus Per Annum).

They are a family-run fire safety company, established in 1994, with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client partnerships. Based in Colne, Lancashire, they service and maintain fire alarms, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers across the North West.

As a BSI-registered and BAFE-approved company, they ensure all work meets the highest industry standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Fire Alarm Service & maintenance technician to join their dedicated team.

About The Role:

The company are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Technician to service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems while also working with fire extinguishers and emergency lighting. This role offers a competitive salary, achievable bonuses, and uncapped commission for client acquisitions.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Service & maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
  • Conduct fire extinguisher servicing (training provided if needed).
  • Assist with installations and upgrades when required.
  • Carry out site surveys, create quotes, and follow up with potential clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage your workload independently while meeting performance targets

Role Requirement:

  • Essential: Fire Alarm Servicing and emergency lighting maintenance and small installs (80% of workload)
  • Essential: surveys and quote, customer service, presentation for customer facing.
  • Desirable but can be trained: Fire Extinguisher servicing. (20% of workload)
  • Preferable: New business generation / lead generation or business development. For those motivated to bring in new business there’s a generous commission scheme of uptown 50%.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 1+ year in fire safety (essential)
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of commercial fire alarm systems and maintenance.
  • Qualifications: BAFE, FIA, or equivalent electrical qualifications (desirable).
  • Personal Traits: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
  • Driving License: Full UK license required.
  • Professionalism: Smart presentation and excellent communication skills.
  • Growth Mindset: Sales knowledge or experience for business development and growth (Desirable)

Sales & Commission Opportunity:

A separate Sales Executive position is available, which can be combined with this role for the right candidate.

Earn commission for bringing in new clients, in addition to servicing work.
