Job details:

To work as part of a team, preparing high level management accounts information to agreed deadlines and in accordance with Accounting Standards and Financial Policies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist the Management Accountant with the preparation of monthly management accounts, namely:

  • To prepare income claims in line with agreed contract / framework requirements, including extracting and analysing data from time recording systems.
  • To prepare and upload journal entries into NetSuite Accounting System, using Excel.
  • To review monthly costs and income for a group of services, making necessary journal adjustments (i.e. deferred and accrued income, prepayments, and accruals).
  • To compare actual costs against budgeted costs, investigating and reporting on variances.
  • To export and analyse data from different online platforms, to create meaningful financial reports, to aid decision making.
  • To contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts.
  • To reconcile a range of balance sheet nominal codes.
  • To maintain a contract management system, ensuring contracts are stored, listed, and reported in an organized and efficient manner.
  • To assist with financial claims and returns, in accordance with Commissioner requests.
  • To assist with requests for costings to support tenders being prepared and to support other members of the finance team, as and when required.
