Adecco as pleased to be recruiting for a Archive Clerk to work within the North Wales Police Force, this will field based working from there Colwyn Bay Headquarters.

You will be working full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

This will be a temporary role until at least the end of October 2025 at present.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The role will provide an effective and efficient administrative service by searching Force archived boxes / material and creating a comprehensive list of items stored in the Archive Records Database in accordance with Force Policy and legislation.

The role will comply with the Management of Police Information (MoPI) and Criminal Procedure & Investigations Act (CPIA) in accordance with the National Retention Policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be responsible for the processing of operational records from across the force area.
  • To be responsible for the processing of operational property / exhibits from across the force area.
  • The post holder will liaise with FRM / SP staff as necessary to resolve the provenance of records as necessary.
  • Where appropriate the post holder will correct inaccurate records.
  • The post holder will highlight trends in poor data quality to the Manager.
  • To ensure discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality is always applied in accordance with Force Policy and procedures.
  • To ensure that the principles detailed in the current version of NPCC Guidance on The Management of Police Information are applied to Force material as directed by the Force Records / Property & Exhibits Managers and force policy.
  • Due to the nature of the role manual handling is a requirement. (Manual handling training will be provided).
  • Any other duties as directed by a Supervisory Officer commensurate with the post and salary grading.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. UNFORTUNATELY ANYTHING LESS THAT THIS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
