Key Responsibilities:

  • General Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing all areas of the building, including offices, corridors, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Waste Management: Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with the company’s waste management procedures.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring that all materials are readily available and in good condition.
  • Surface Cleaning: Clean and disinfect surfaces, including tables, desks, countertops, and high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, including replenishing toiletries, cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
  • Health and Safety: Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager or Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other reasonable cleaning or maintenance tasks as requested by the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
Must be able to work any 5 of 7 days as required by your line manager. Person Specification:
  • Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Previous experience in cleaning or similar roles is preferred but not essential.
    • Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment.
    • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience with specific cleaning equipment or chemicals (e.g., floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums).
