We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Workshop Assistant to join a busy local authority team in Colwyn Bay. This is a great opportunity for someone with practical experience and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and workshop procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Transport Officer and Workshop Chargehands with general workshop and maintenance duties

  • Assist drivers in checking and maintaining vehicles to ensure roadworthiness

  • Maintain workshop equipment such as ladders, compressors, gas bottles, air equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring proper use and storage

  • Wash down vehicles prior to inspection or servicing, and keep the wash bay clean after use

Essential Requirements:

  • Full EU Driving Licence (Category C)

  • Valid Driver CPC Card

  • Experience of manual work and safe manual handling procedures
