We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our client's team in Congleton, Cheshire, and play a key role in delivering high-quality, inclusive education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside educators to deliver differentiated instruction and personalised learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide individualised support and scaffold learning for students, aiding both their academic achievement and social-emotional development.
  • Facilitate small group instruction and provide targeted interventions to help students meet their learning goals, using formative assessment to monitor progress.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a positive classroom environment using effective classroom management strategies that promote engagement and self-regulation.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic resilience.
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring to ensure that evidence-based teaching strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Help prepare and adapt instructional resources to ensure they are inclusive and accessible for all learners.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting (preferred but not essential), with a focus on student-centred learning.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A growth mindset with a desire for continuous professional development.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and able to support students with a variety of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Experience with behaviour management and creating a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, TA certification, or other related credentials) are preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with curriculum frameworks and assessment for learning is an advantage.
