The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Mentor to join our team and support students in overcoming barriers to learning. As a Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to help students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils to help them manage challenges and boost their confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver individualised support plans.
  • Assist students in achieving qualifications (SATs/GCSEs) and engaging in vocational studies such as beauty, catering, and life skills.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

About You
You are an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is committed to helping young people succeed. You should:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEND or barriers to learning.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient when faced with challenges.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be adaptable and creative in meeting the individual needs of students.
