Blue Arrow is working in support of a client in Congleton CW12 to find a maintenance technician to join their team with an immediate start!
The client is a manufacturer of automotive safety systems, and the working environment is semi-automated and modern.

Your role would be working within the maintenance department supporting site maintenance, and be part of the equipment transfer team, decommissioning looms and supporting site maintenance.
In addition:
Maintain the site to a high and safe standard
Successfully and safely disassembling production equipment.
Clean and refurbish equipment prior to transfer.
Packaging and loading of the equipment.
Reaction / Reduction / Elimination / Prevention: on all Ail plant equipment.
* Always apply current safety rules and standards.
* Decommission current equipment in a safe manner.
* Support packaging and loading.
* Carry out PM tasks as per schedules.
* Equipment and tool repairs
* PDCA improvement actions
* Continually assess and present cost saving and performance improvements
* Modify existing equipment when required.
* Be a pro-active member of the team
* Maintain a good standard of 5s.
* Adhere to procedures.

Reporting on Leading 2 Lean management system.
Support 5S.
TPM activities.
Attend meetings as required.

The role is 3 on/3 off continental days, 6am-6pm covering 7 days/week, and fixed term until the end of June 25 with potential to be extended.

* Level 2 or above in mechanical or electrical engineering or processes

* An existing knowledge of mechanical and or electrical processes.

* Understands Health & Safety procedures necessary for SAFER working ensuring that machines and area are safe for all, participate in risk assessments.
* Numeracy and Literacy skills
* Know boundaries of own capabilities and when to ask for assistance
