We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a growing precision engineering company based in Consett. The company specialises in reverse engineering and the repair of rotating equipment, delivering high-quality service to blue-chip clients both in the UK and internationally.

In this role, you will work with Mazak CNC machines to produce precision components, often working to tight tolerances (up to 0.02mm). You will be joining a small but busy machine shop team, ensuring efficient production and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Program, set, and operate Mazak CNC milling machines.
  • Produce high-precision parts from engineering drawings, adhering to tight tolerances.
  • Ensure timely production to meet customer deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain product quality.
  • Contribute to team activities and support continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Time-served CNC Programmer with experience in Mazak programming.
  • Additional experience with horizontal boring machines (Fagor controls) is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
